Year 12 Trip to CERN 20.06.12

Year 12 physicists have enjoyed an inspiring trip to the Large Hadron Collider at CERN Geneva.  In glorious weather they were able to tour the CERN facilities and learn first-hand, from researchers working there, about the work being carried out.  There was also time to see lake Geneva and the famous Jet d’Eau fountain, the United Nations and a beautiful museum about the History of Science positioned by the lake.  The group also enjoyed an enjoyable evening of Swiss music with some of the group mastering the very long Swiss horn!
