Psychology Trip 29.03.12

The year 12 and 13 psychology students enjoyed an A Level Psychology conference in London. The speakers covered a range of topics, including the nature vs. nurture debate, human perception, and computer mediated social relationships. The highlight of the day was the lecture by world renowned Professor Phillip Zimbardo who talked about his original prison study, shared insights and unseen photos from the Abu Ghraib trials, and then explained how easy it is to be a hero and how we can rise to the challenge through his Hero Imagination Project. The day ended with a tour of the Freud Museum, which included an exhibition of works by Louise Bourgeois.
