Professor Andrew Wallace-Hadrill is coming to LHS! 31.01.18

Loughborough High School is delighted to host the very special Elliott Schools’ Lecture for the Nottingham Classical Association.

On 20th March 2018 at 6:00pm, Professor Andrew Wallace-Hadrill will be giving his lecture, ‘Herculaneum: what Pompeii can’t tell you’

Andrew is Professor of Roman Studies and Director of Research at Cambridge University and formerly the Director of the Herculaneum Conservation Project.

Professor Wallace-Hadrill is also the fascinating presenter of the recent BBC series ‘Building the Ancient City’; his enthusiasm and humour enlightened viewers with his depth of knowledge on the ancient cities of Rome and Athens.

The lecture is free admission, however places must be booked in advance as numbers are limited. Seats will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Booking closes on March 16th or when fully booked.
